Hey! Yesterday I received an offer from Sussex but with a foundation year doing business management and economics even though I had applied for business management with marketing with no foundation year. All the other university’s have given me an offer to start in the first year but I’m really gutted about this because it was my top choice. I am only doing a BTEC level 3 diploma in business however predicted D*D* D* - equivalent to 3 alevels at A* which exceeds the preferred grades on their website. Also, other people in my class doing the same subject as me have offers with no foundation year doing things such as law and accountancy (one of them doesn’t even have an English gcse. Does anyone know why I might have to do a foundation year? Does this happen normally? I have contacted the university but still awaiting a reply.
No one on here can tell you why they have done that so you will have to wait till they respond. They may have made a mistake or they may have some concerns. I wouldn't focus on other people but on your own situation and circumstances.

Yh, you might as well contact them when you can to ask why then have offered you a foundation year instead of a normal course
