    I'm so confused
My estate agent has been listed as "dissolved" in 2015 by Companies House
What does this mean for me?
    Are they still legally operating?
Also kind of odd they have no website?
They collect rent money from me and my housemates each month and send it to the landlord

I'd go and see them. That's not a good sign. Do you have any contact details for the landlord?

Yes probably best to contact them then as it is odd that the company is dissolved on company's house and you don't have any details for the landlord. The landlord may not be getting his money which may put your living situation in trouble.

Do they have an actual premises. Dissolved isnt always a bad thing. It would just mean they arent trading as a limited liability company. They could be trading as a partnership.

You can see if they are members of any of the three regulating bodies.

ARLA, National, National Approved Letting Scheme or National Association of Estate Agents.

    https://www.nalscheme.co.uk/contact/

You can contact Shelter or CAB

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/contact-us/

    I would go for Shelter.

They should have provided their details and the address of your LL
I wouldnt be unduly concerned at this stage.

It still doesnt mean they are dodgy as membership is voluntary.
Be honest about your situation with Shelter as if they are the rightful agent of the LL then you are under a duty to pay them. The details should be in your tenancy agreement. They can maybe reassure you on what the LL can and cannot do in terms of eviction proceedings.
