I am currently in Y12 doing A levels, however ill be changing my subjects by repeating Y12 , this is because I have decided a different career path at University. However, since, I have 5 A*-C GCSES with one being equivalent, I feel like, I will not stand out if with 4 full GCSES, this was due to extermnunating circumstances during my GCSE examinations. So now, what I am doing is, I am redoing GCSE maths alongside my temporarily A levels so I can get a higher grade in Maths.

However, I believe, I still need some basic GCSES so I am not at an extreme disadvantage when applying to a RG University. So I decided that I am going to take Triple Science and gain 3 extra GCSES.

Is it wise starting now in Aprill, with only 2 monthes untill examinations? I can do it in Y12 with my new A level subjects, however the issue is, I have a final A level exam in Y12, this is because, right now I am studying 3 A levels in Y12, and the one I need for my degree course will be carried over to Y13 alongside 3 other A levels in Y12, therefore, if I do triple science next year then I risk my A levels, the next thing I decided was that, I can do triple science during a gap year after A levels, however since GCSE exams take place in June/July, I woudn’t have the triple science GCSES when I am applying.
So the question I propose is, should I take Triple Science now, with only 2 monthes untill exams, or during a GAP year? Also additional note, do Triple Science exams take place in October/november or are they always in June/July? This is a huge paradox, and I am willing to put any amount of effort required to do well in the subjects, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Check entrance requirements for courses you are interested in.
    A levels more important.
Only top RG are going to be concerned over numerous GCSE and you may not have enough A/A* Check.
    Dont spoil your exams.
I cna see why but I think its better to focus on best grades possible for A levels.

It is possible but you have to work out the pros and cons for you.

I would be concerned cons were bigger.
