Been seeing him for 1.5 months. He doesn’t have a car and I do. He said if we were to be anything it probably wouldn’t work out because I live “so far” and he feels bad for me driving there to see him all the time. And if I lived in the same city then “yeah maybe”.

    Thoughts?

After we agreed to be friends he still held my hand or on my lap in the car, that’s the part I was confused.

Not necessarily. He might feel that a long distance relationship may not work out, he doesn't want anyone to get hurt if he commits and it doesn't work out.
