Peritonitis after hernia surgery watch

    If someone has intestinal hernia surgery and suffers peritonitis and a pancreatic fistula (with pancreatic fluids leaking into abdomen) as a complication what is their outlook?

    Unfortunately no-one here is going to be able to answer that question for you - only the team treating you / whoever it is who's had the surgery, will be able to do that. They will have all the specific information about the specific complications and issues. I hope though, whoever it is, that things start to get better soon, sounds like a really rough time.

    In general pancreatic ascites (pancreatic leak) does not occur after hernia surgery. They are two separate conditions and outlook depends on the condition of pancreas
