What grounds have the police got to request your information.Someone I know contacted the Police about me and made an allegation of theft. It's not remotely true. I was with a friend I'm 16 and we were chatting to a group of people, long story short my friend's friend said his wallet contained £50 , he checked his bag and it was gone.We were altogether and there was six of us, the guy said I must have done it.Two Policemen were called and kept asking me my name, address and date of birth which I refused to give, this is because my mother has cancer and she is house bound and this would be the last thing she would need at the door.Any advice would be good. I refused to give my details over as I'm not required too, the Police walked off saying this wouldn't be the end of it.
