I'm interested in studying Engineering, but I'm also particularly interested in modern physics (quantum etc), and I'd love to be able to tie that into engineering. Wondering if anyone has any good book suggestions for either subject, or better both together?

    How about books about CERN.
Eg. Smashing Physics by John Butterworth

Thanks! I'm getting a chance to visit CERN itself in a few months, it'd be cool reading about it then seeing it in real life

Jon Butterworth is good writer, and a Prof of Physics at UCL.
