Is it worth taking antidepressants again? watch

    • Thread Starter

So I haven't been to sixth form for a few weeks due to depression and I haven't been on antidepressants for a while either. Over these past few weeks being off school has really helped my mood but if I have to go back I'm worried this good mood won't last because of stress and because when I'm school my mood is fine for a week or two then it is really low and I feel depressed for another week or two. So my question is should I take antidepressants to avoid the depressive state from returning?

Maybe it could be quite helpful, but it would be better for you to try without the first, without putting yourself at any risk, and then if your depression seems to be affecting you and you functioning in sixth form then definitely take them.
However, this is ultimately your own choice so do what you are comfortable with!
Good luck and I hope all goes well for your return

If your depression is affecting you so badly that it's stopping you from returning to sixth form, speak to your doctor about potentially taking them again
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
