i am writing my national 5 chemistry assignment, but i am stuck on how to write a evaluation. it is on how different metals effect the voltage made in an electrochemical cell. i used copper and then changed the second metal 3 times and then repeated each experiment 3 times.

I don't want to just give you some sort of exact answer for this, and that would be difficult anyway, since I don't know how well the procedure was carried out, etc. The SQA marking scheme says:

An evaluation of the experimental procedure- 2 marks.
1 mark should be awarded for identifying a factor which can be expected to have a significant effect on the reliability, accuracy or precision of the experiment.
1 mark should be awarded for an explanation of what could have been, or was done to minimise the effect of the identified factor or the evidence supporting the identification of the factor.

You basically need to find a part of your experiment that could be a source of error/affect your reliability or validity. And then state how you overcame it, or how you would in future.

    Hope this helps
