So I'm usually pretty good at English and in my last mock exam I managed to get a grade 9. However lately I have completely seemed to have lost it with English. I'm not sure what it is but I just feel like my essays aren't half as good as what they used to be despite be revising almost everyday at home. My English lit exam is in 2 months and I'm really starting to stress about it, especially now that I have this issue! Please Help!!

What mark do you usually get out of 30 and what books do you study

You might hate me saying this but have you got complacent? Perhaps seeing the 9 made you think you're already doing the best, and the thought of seeking to improve something you've already got a top grade in may give you the mindset that you've lost focus when you haven't.
In my school I was getting 6 and 7 all year. They definitely marked harshly but it made me work hard and then on results day I got two 9s. I asked my teacher if she expected this and she said absolutely, they marked me down to make me work harder so I didn't relax and think "ah I'm doing well cba to revise"

I'm not saying your teachers are lying because they're not - your marks are brilliant. But perhaps the notion of seeing a 9 HAS made you more relaxed about things despite revising each day and your best doesn't feel your best because your teachers haven't told you anywhere to improve and instead have essentially told you you're already at the top? Xx
