    Hi

I recently met a guy and we're flirting/texting. I'm 23 in one month and he has just turned 30 - is this age difference big? will it really make a difference?

not at all! you're both adults and so 7 years won't mean much.

I don't think, as you're an adult, that age gaps are the main issue, it's more things like whether you are in the same place in your lives (emotionally, professionally etc.), and if you have compatible personalities and goals. A mismatch in these can cause issues.

I've dated many guys with quite a big age gap and it's never been much of an issue. Personally, dating guys a similar age has worked out better for me because I like to do things a 23 year old person would want to whereas the guys I've dated that have been older want to settle down but that's just me. If you are in the same wavelength and want the same things, you should be absolutely fine

It's impossible to tell if it'll make a difference until you've actually started dating and got to know him. It's not about the age gap, more about whether your personalities get on and if you're on the same wavelength.

I met my partner when I was 20. started dating at 21 and he was 29.
we've been together 15 years and got two kids.
It can work as long as you both get the same from the relationship.
for example, he had done the clubbing thing, I was never into it so I just skipped the clubbing bit and we were on the same path. it's never been an issue

If you love that person, the age difference should not matter. As long as you feel comfortable with the age gap, it doesn't matter.

I hope that my advice has helped
