Where's the cheapest city for students?
Almost 3500 students across 35 popular universities were surveyed to determine the most affordable place to study.

Factors that were considered included cost of food, rent, and bills like utilities and transport, how much time was spent studying, working and socialising, and how much term-time income they receive.

According to Natwest Student Living Index, the cheapest cities are...

Woo hoo!! :bl:
How is Wolverhampton so highly ranked on happiness! All the students I've spoken to going there aren't particularly happy
So I'm confused about the Natwst Student Living Index... it's based on average income, but are they including average parental income as part of that calculation? :beard: Because that's a bit misleading.

People from Belfast just seem happy in general
Canterbury being cheapest? You've GOT to be joking me...
Wolverhampton happy? Lmao, **** me.
Both my unis on those lists <3
The most employable cities - is job competition also taken into account?

As a graduate, I stayed in London due to personal reasons and it seems like a lot of good graduate jobs are in places like Birmingham and Manchester. Thinking about moving within a year... :hmm:
30 something?!? :eek3:

edit: 10 years ago?!
I have not yet hit the big 3-0. And I was at uni last year, so let me have my quarter life crisis in peace without pointing it out in public, thank you :colonhash:

It looks like this came from a survey - I don't know where the methodology is unfortunately :beard: @discobish might have a link :woo:

It doesn't say it's the cheapest, it says it's one of the cheapest.
I'm surprised Aberdeen is listed as one of the cheapest! In terms of Scottish cities, Glasgow is a much cheaper place to live.
Really made me laugh. Agree with methodological concerns too; even if perfect, approx 100 students from each uni is far from ideal. I never saw an email in my inbox asking me about happiness or how much I spend on Andrex, so I have to question how respondents were selected also.

PRSOM as ever.
wolverhampton? bloody hell we're not as bad as i thought.
