Could you interpret to me what this means.
"We will calculate your Honours Degree classification using one of two
methods; the higher result is always awarded:
Either
1. the average percentage mark of the 100 credits worth of modules with the highest mark at level 3 or above
20
Or
2. the average percentage mark of the 220 credits worth of modules with the highest mark at level 2
and above (including a maximum of 120 credits at level 2)."

Coventry is know for having a highly generous way of calculating your final grade.

Use either calculation to decide what your grade is.

1.Level 3 credits are normally third year so the best 100out of 120 credits= whatever % is decides your grade. 50-39 2:2, 60-69 2:1 etc. This method most likely ignores results from year 1 or 2.

2.Allows you t include some of year 2 if you did well in that, but 100 credits still have to be level 3.

If you did really well in year 2 , then most likely method 2 is what you will use and if you didnt then use method 1.

it means that the university will either use 100 credits out of the 120 credits in your final year or they will use 100 credits from the final year and 120 credits from your second year as well.
