I'm doing Economics at Collingwood College (the "hotel on the hill" as it's the newest and bestest college lol). There are plenty of good shops in Durham, there are plenty of nice designer stores too!

Also Newcastle is literally only like 15minutes (if that) away by train. Or you can get a cab, whatever suits you more.

There's an FCUK in town, and plenty of other shops that fcukers will probably like too.

If Newcastle doesn't take your fancy for shops (and it surely will), theres although the delightful Metrocentre, once the biggest indoor shopping centre in Europe, and currently undergoing a facelift and extension. If you can't find what you're looking for in Newcastle, Durham or the Metrocentre, you may well need to be put down.

warwick IS in the middle of nowhere, its not really near warwick at all, its nearest town is actually coventry.

My mate goes there, and even he admits it, but he likes it. still, hes quite quiet, im not sure if a loudr sort would like it!
I love durham!! I live 15 mins away from the center. So boring to me, not at all. Plus by train its like 10 minutes to newcastle, where you obviously have a larger selection of everything. Shopping, amazing cinema (i loove it) etc. Nightlife, well the quayside would be the priority choice. Newcastle has a great night life from what I've heard. Durhams apparently quite good too, theres a selection of bars. So Durham and the area around Durham I would say it wasn't boring at all, hehe.

I wanted to go to durham university, but i dont think they want graphic design students *sob* maybe one of their campus colleges of the uni has it, stockton i think. I'm determind to get a 'University of Durham' hoody, hehe.

I started at durham last year doing Law but left after 4 months because it was THAT boring!

Honestly...i HATED it beyond belief!

But thats just my opinion, Durham wasnt the place for me!

That's a shame, however it's beyond me how you can be bored in a city with 10,000 students, endless societies and a huge city 15 minutes away.
