Question 6ii
-2056= -(-EA) - (965) - (503) - (2x122) - (180) + (-859)
-2056= -(-EA) - 2751
695= - (-EA) divide both parts by -1
-695 = (-EA)

I learnt this method from my text book but just wondering does the last part in bold make sense? When I divide both parts by -1?

All you are doing is applying the rules of number to rearrange the equation. MTB -1 on both sides is perfectly valid.
