They think I'm too good for him?

He's the most amazing guy, funny, smart and good looking.

I'm popular in school (not to be big headed) and as soon as rumours got around that I like this guy, they were all trying to persuade me not to like him because he's weird etc. and apparently I'm way better looking than him.

What should I do?

If you are interested and assuming it isnt a teacher, the go for it. You are daying him and not them. It is only relevant if they know soemthing you do not rather than waht he loks like.

The question is whether or not you think you're better than him. Screw what everyone else says, it couldn't matter less unless you believe it. But for his sake, make sure that you don't think that because you could end up really hurting the guy if it backfires. If you really like him then go for it but just make sure you know before you do go for it.
