yes, I think i used the fourth (or third) edition for a-level economics (AQA). Very useful. Its used as an a-level textbook so it must be the stuff you need to know i guess. what else would you like to know?

I think it's quite good at explaining things even if you have no general knowledge of anything. I literally hadn't even heard of GDP + didn't know what interest rates were when I first started economics. That book really cleared up a lot of concepts. It also gets sufficiently technical which is great.

Cool, thanks for your help. I'd also like to know if you can just look up something you don't know or if you'd recommend me to read the whole thing because it's useful and worth it... It's just so huge, it's got about 800 pages so it scares me a bit! But as it's in full colour and it's well organised, it doesn't look bad at all...

We get given it at school for economics (AQA). Its good but big. We generally just do the questions from it...

Its the best one in my opinion ... UCL uses it!

Haha, really? For which course?
Is it the big red one with out of date pictures?

the red ones the first edition i think. They are crap compared to the new fourth edition. I want one so bad but im not prepared to pay the £25 for it.

Economics and Business with eastern european studies, may use it for pure economics aswell... but that I can comment on.
I'm reading some of it, good clear explanations but it's not ideal for self-study. Most of the questions can be answered from the text, but for some questions it would be nice if there were answers at the back!

(Why is this in the student finance forum btw?)

Hey, could someone send me the questions form P70-71 from this book? I've ordered it but it hasn't arrived yet and I need the questions for homework.
