Hi,

A key point of the comparison between novel is that there needs to be comparison. eg. in X the theme of loneliness is depicted through the use of Y and developed throughout the novel to create commentary on Z; however this contrasts with [other novel] as their context proves that loneliness is rather a self reflection, and cannot be generalised in both novel due to the difference in genders of both protagonists.

(please note I've read neither of these novels, so I picked a rather common theme to show an example!)

I hope this helps a little, and you're more than welcome to ask any other questions you might have.
