Either change your accommodation preference or live on one campus and travel to the other. It's not that far to walk (about 25 minutes), but there's a free hopper bus that shuttles between campuses every 15 mins or so. If you really want to live at Jubilee, it won't be a problem - plenty of people who study at Jubilee live at University Park. You just might find that most people who live there are on business courses and other subjects based at Jubilee.

Depends if you want a 30 minute walk (I think its about that) to lectures/seminars, really. You could also get the bus, but I'm not sure about those or how frequent they are - ask someone who's currently at Nottm.

Other than that, you could try phoning the accommodation office and asking to switch, if that's what you want.

I'm sure BrenLee could give you some better advice about that, now I think about it.

yeah iv gt the same issue. my preferrence is st.peters court. but i hear it's miles away from eco lectures?
Nottingham City Transport website... there's some info there about the bus services for uni students.

Do not worry. I live on Jubilee at the moment, and study Management with French; thus, half of my degree is based on uni park, and half jubilee. It does not affect you really though, as you can just get the hopper bus, and you'll be there, or do the 20minute walk over to Clive Granger. There are plenty of people who study on main campus that live on jubilee, I'd say around half of the hall is jubilee, and half of them study on uni park.

With regard to St. Peters Court, that is fine too, as instead of getting the hopper bus; you can just get the St. Peters Court bus instead, which takes you straight to the main campus. Not sure if that costs or not, I do not think that it does though.

Don't worry. There's a hopper bus that stops right next to the Hallward Library, which is once again near the Economics Faculty. Two of the students in Engineering live near jubilee campus and say it takes less than five minutes on the bus to get to the UP.

It does take less than five minutes once ON the bus. You may have to wait a while for the bus to come, but going over it is very simple: every 15minutes i.e. :00, :15, :30, but coming back you just have to wait I'm afraid.
It's not a problem at all coz you've got the hopper bus. Actually, if you live in halls like Ancaster or Cavendish, it takes more time to walk to the department than to take a hopper bus from Jubilee.
Most of first year economics lectures are in Math & Physics, Clive Granger Building, Law and Social Sciences. There are hopper bus stops near these locations.

If you live in Ancaster or Cavendish, the bus stop is right up the road so in reality you're just as good as living in Jubilee.

But the bad thing about living in the Jubilee campus is that in the mornings, the bus becomes very crowded and you may have to wait for the next bus, making you 15 minutes late... If you're going to study Economics straight, you might as well live on Uni Park, as you're never going to need to go to the Jubilee campus. I'm doing Economics and none of my lectures are at the Jubilee campus...

same ashmole .
guys, you wanna be on UP if you do econ! no offence but ive heard from people that jubilee is boring! st peters court is a good laugh though...i live in cripps and i get up 20 MINS before a 9am lecture! it takes me less than 5 mins to walk there! pm me if u have any q's.
there's always the hopper bus, walking to derby road then getting a bus, or walking to uni,but i know that first thing in the morning for 9am lectures, the hoppers get so full they leave people behind and you have to wait for another bus to come round, which would make you late for the lectures. i'd personally say it's better to live on/in uni park if most of your courses are based there than worry about commuting from jubilee.
