M3: vertical and horizontal circles
im doing a vertical circle question now and im resolving the circle in terms of energy and forces.
GPE and KE (and EPE if extensible string)
however, with horizontal circles, you resolve in terms of vertical and horizontal forces?
F = ma
Tension, gravity and the centripetal force which acts towards the centre as acceleration.
so, is it the same for horizontal circles: if yes, why? if not, why? thanks
