Moving to Dundee

I've got an offer for BA Computing Arts at Abertay and I'm 95% sure that I'm going to accept it.

I live outside of Glasgow on my own right now so I'll have to move up to Dundee. I really don't like the idea of living in student accommodation (it seems so small!) and I already have a flat of stuff anyway so I've been looking at either transferring from my council flat to a Dundee council flat or looking into renting a flat.

My friend from my current course is going to accept an offer from Perth and she's really keen to move in with me, which is great, but we are having trouble agreeing on how to go about this whole situation.

Has anyone had to move to Dundee for uni before? I'm not all that sure how to go about it at all. I've had a look at some listings with my friend but I'm not sure what I need to know/look out for when renting.

Any advice?
