SNCO CBAT v Officer CBAT

Afternoon all.

A mere query but one that was interesting.

If you apply as a SNCO ATC recruit - when attending Cranwell you sit the tests ‘only’ for SNCO roles and this of course includes those tests for WSOp.

However, if you apply as a WSOp, you sit the entire battery for all the other roles.

Again, it’s just an observation I’d noticed. Anyone know why this is the case?

Because testing for WSOp and all the sub-specialisations that trade entails will require elements from those other tests. SNCO ATC will not.
