When I'm doing work I prefer music without vocals, but in general most music I listen to has vocals. As much as I love metal, it is somewhat distracting when trying to get work done

Can only listen to classical when I’m working - find lyrics too distracting.

I don't really have a preference as a general rule, but sometimes I can't be arsed with instrumentals and really want a big vocal hook. Other times I'll stick some Mingus on and not be concerned at all about a lack of vocals. Depends on my mood.

Don't have a preference I like both. I quite like jazz without vocals.

I usually prefer music with lyrics, as I find it much more catchy than music without lyrics to sing and dance around to . However, when I am working or revising, I usually prefer not to play any music as it can distract me (and I often use white noise to block out any sound), and if I am listening to music and working, I will use classical music without any lyrics, because lyrics will make me focus on singing and not working :music:

Lies. When i need to get work done, i bung in headphones and stick on some fast thrash. Gets you working so much quicker.

In free time, lyrical. For revision, lyrical with maths, non-lyrical all other subjects.

Aye, I often write to weird black metal. Causes no issues.

Either, I like sung vocals.

But I am not really concerned with lyrics, even something like Hip-Hop which has a heavy emphasis on lyrics doesn't matter to me if the music isn't good, most of my favourite rappers would be dull without the right production. I listen to music for the music.
