Is it too late to drop French?

Hello, I need to drop French GCSE because it's just a bloody treacherous subject and it's bringing down my GPA by 0.6 points, which if I might add could have gotten me into my number one sixth form.

Instead of 6.2 my GPA is 5.6.

This GCSE has been hanging on like a bad cold.

If you suggest I keep on with it then all I have to say is this; I have 11 GCSE's including French.

Without it I have 10 ( duh ) and no matter how high I get in the subject, NO MATTER how high ( even if I get a 9 ) I get it will still not be as high as 6.2.

Is it too late because tomorrow is my last day in school before Easter holidays. And then after I have 2 weeks before study leave.

Pls say I can. And if so, how do I do it?
If you are concerned and sure you want to drop the subject, get your parent to email your tutor/head of house and also discuss this with your French teacher. Try to be firm and don’t immediately accept them saying ‘carry on’ if you really don’t want to - they can’t force you to do the subject really. Make sure your parents approve first.
