The jump to A-level maths from GCSE is a big one and you learn a lot of new things. The A* stuff at GCSE is the complete basics at A-level. My best tips is just practice as much as you can within reason also, be patient with it I remember my first AS maths exam and I got a D by the end of my AS I got an A. It’s really about practice and putting in the work. This is coming from a second year maths degree student.
