What does Year 1 of the new spec correspond to in terms of the old modules? (I'm looking to print past papers - I want more than the specimen paper)

Go to this site, go your corresponding exam board and go to questions by topic, you'll see which module each question is from:

In terms of your Pure, go for C1 and C2 papers, that's where a very substantial a lot of the y1 content was recycled from.

For applied, bits of M1 and bits of S1, some of both was moved to FM applied, so I'd advise going on physicsandmathstutor and looking for the past papers by topic.

Some of the basic stuff from year 2 is in C1 or C2, but the 2 modules are broadly the same.

Content mapping document: https://qualifications.pearson.com/c...t_mapping.xlsx

TL;DR

Pure
  • Mostly C1/C2
  • Exponentials and logarithms from C3
  • Differentiation from first principles was added. Apparently this was C3.
  • Some vectors from C4, but the meat of it was moved to AS further maths.

Statistics
  • Mostly S1
  • Hypothesis testing and statistical distributions from S2
  • Sampling from S3 but that's a joke, it's really GCSE stuff

Mechanics
  • Mostly M1
  • Variable acceleration from M2

(forgot you didn't say Edexcel, but I assume now it is ) It's especially useful as PhysicsAndMathsTutor has question packs with organise past exam questions based on topic, so you don't have to say, trawl through S2 papers for binomial distribution questions, you can go here.
