May i ask you how the application process was for you? I am intending to apply to MPhil oxford and MSc LSE economics and international relations and would be forever grateful for any tips that you can provide!

But LSE is by far the easiest to get into. I feel LSE is a degree mill. I personally know nobody who got rejected by LSE for a grad course.

I am not entirely sure about the graduates, but for undergraduates, there are many people around me who got an offer for Oxbridge, but rejected by LSE. I am not entirely sure about the reason, but probably because LSE doesn't have the interview or admissions test, so they highly rely on grades? Whereas in Oxbridge, they reject people with perfect grades if they don't perform well in admissions test...

I am currently holding offers for the MSc Econ at LSE and the MPhil Econ at Oxford and Cambridge. Do you have insights into the reputation of said programmes, especially concerning industry (finance/consulting/etc) job prospects?

Obviously Oxford, as a two year deal, is the most expensive. Somehow I feel like LSE is not on par with Oxbridge.

Thanks a lot!

Did my BSc Econ at LSE and had offered for the MSc and also the Mphil at Cambridge. I veered more towards Cambridge tbh as LSE is not a proper university experience at all and I felt I missed out. My offer was for Wolfsons and I had friends who went onto Cambridge and really enjoyed the experience.

But academically, LSE>>Cambridge no question at all. Youre really going only for the expeirence and to say "I went to Cambridge" but each to their own. If I was going for an Economist job I'd say the two are about the same actually.
What about if someone say wanted to apply to a PhD program in the US.
In that case what would be better, LSE Msc Economics, Mphil Econ research at cambride or Mphil at oxford?

No huge difference.
What did you decide and whats the outcome? I am torn deciding which one to apply for LSE vs Cambridge
