Do we use degrees or randans for trig functions ?

like sin(30)=0.5 is not the same as in sin (pi over 6)??
i know it's stupid question but I'm confused !

You have to change the calculator into radians when using radians.

It doesn't matter which you use, as long as you are consistent, and you adhere to what is being asked in the question.

In degrees, sin(30) = 0.5, and in radians, sin(pi/6) = 0.5.

Does that clear things up?
as long as you remember which setting your calculator is in you will be fine.
