Aqa biology new spec (8461) -please help-

Hi,
I need help & guidance on revising from the aqa spec im kinda confused right now and need guidance...
Why hasnt anyone made any revision notes and materials online for the spec, i went on getrevising to get biology help but it says biology b1 biology 1 etc... and on my spec the coding isnt B1.1.1 etc. its like 4.1.1 and i cant find any information on youtube of anyone going over the spec through this coding and the topics dont match.
i got this spec

and its the one im meant to use.
However i dont know how to use it and i can't find notes for this specification

im lost. help pls...

Hey, most of the biology spec is on revision sites- are you new to AQA? The 4 is there bc that’s its place on the contents page. There are 7 topics:
B1- Cell biology
B2- Organisation
B3- Infection and response
B4- Bioenergetics
B5- Homeostasis and response
B6- Inheritance, variation and evolution
B7- Ecology
If you’re still lost, just replace the 4 with a b.

hey im also on combined and had a quick look, it looks fine to use, theres some things that arent on our spec, which i'll list down below:
B1 (cell biology)- culturing microorganisms
B3 (infection and response)- monoclonal antibodies
B5 (homeostasis and response)- kidney failure, plant hormones, the eye, the human brain, water and nitrogen balance

C4 (chemical changes)- titration
C10 (using resources)- haber process, alloys, ceramics + polymers

All of the physics stuff says whether its for chem (single) or not.

I think that you should revise using the specimen papers as well as senaca, but hopefully yes? and i think it has everything you need i wouldn’t know tho im only doing combined and this is the first year of doing science with the new spec, I think that they wouldn’t change the spec too often, its changed bc of the switch from A*-E to 9-1 but I don’t think they’d do this on a regular basis. I am not too sure but good luck anyways, I can’t speak about grade 9s bc I am barely scraping 7s myself in combined :smile:
