Okay, so I've been pretty worried over the past few days about getting into university. I've gotten a conditional offer for the university I want to go to but I don't think I will be able to get it which is bad thinking I know. I do a diploma BTEC and a single A level. The university says I need two merits in my BTEC and a C in my A level. So far I have gotten distinction* for my BTEC and came out with a D, few marks off a C, for AS for the first year. My second year I am resitting my AS as well as doing my A2 and I have gotten my second distinction* in my BTEC. I've met what the university asks of me for my BTEC but I'm just worried that if I don't get the C in my A level, would that mean that I wouldn't get into the university. So what I'm asking is if I get like a D in my A level would the university still accept me because I've gotten distinction*'s for my BTEC.

They'd still probably accept you if you get one grade lower and they're your firm choice plus your btec grades are high so more than likely you'd get in

nobody including the universities can answer this. It depends firstly how other applicants have performed when results are known. if they have had more applicants who have met their grades than they have spaces they will probably reject. If they dont they will probably accept you.
