I haven't received anything about accommodation. I logged onto the apply thing on the university website and my application is still 'submitted' as opposed to 'allocated'.
Me too. I guess it's the same for everyone who's just got their results.
Does anyone know what happens if you're in Cardiff as your insurance? Do I just apply for accommodation, or wait for them to contact me?
I'd say if you're not contacted in the next few days, give them a call... I'm going to do that if I don't get my accom in the next week, even though I'm firm.
Colum hall is where I shall be at... got allocated a while back; was first choice, so s'all cool.
Anyone know the situation with the smoking ban, in regards to hall flats at the moment? Are they all non-smoking, or...? I'm not that fussed really, but it'd be kinda nice to know. Thanks.
Mine hasn't yet come through, did both of you apply early on?

I'd say that you (I don't mean you specifically, no idea whether you smoke or not) can probably legally smoke in your own room, and no doubt, depending on who your room-mates are, you'll be able to smoke in communal living spaces. But it depends entirely on University policy, they have the right to impose a complete ban if they want to, although I doubt they would. Can a current student confirm this?
Taly north, house C, first floor flat 4, REDUCED ROOM 6! I'm happy with taly north, very happy, but am a little concerned about my stuff all fitting into the smallest room in the place! ah well i got my car parking too
