I've had no post from them at all. Grr. I wish they'd hurry up and send me a "what to buy" list, as I've been warned that us architects need to get loooads of stuff.
Just out of interest [as we seem to have turned the residences ito a bit of a general chatty thread] has anyone had a reading list or anything sent through yet? In fact, has anyone had ANY post from Cardiff whatsoever? :P:
Yeah, Cardiff are pretty thin on the ground with letters, I've had three from them (interview, offer and accomodation) and about 6 or so each in the past from three of my other choices about random stuff they thought I'd want to know!

I didn't even get one for my offer, but I got one saying I 'might' have an offer and I might not, which came with a huge folder full of info on the course...
Have fun in Venice =D Haha, I got my prospectus. Twice My offer and my accomodation. Just a lot of othr places have reading lists, and I want to start being geeky! Especially since some people will already have a grounding in A&M History, whereas I only have modern, and whilst the course is designed for beginners..I'd rather not feel like a total Noob.

i've had a letter this morning from one of the departments of my subjects, that is from the langauge and communication centre (i'm doing a joint degree so there should be another one on it's way, that one is english literature so a reading list there i should get). it just says congratulations and tells me to go see them on the first monday to see where personal tutor is located and to make an appointment with them. And a time and date for a school welcome. It also says that shortly i will get registration documents and full details about freshers week. So yeah, a lot of post needs to be sent from Cardiff if everyone one needs these plus the department letters! They need to get their arse in gear!

Well hopefully if you've received that letter it suggests some will start coming through.. though if it's done by departments, I don't hold out too much hope I want some information!

Nothing yet. Not-A-Sausage. Not even a "congrats".

I would second this. I would. But, then again, they've probably had to get people from other departments to come in and do filing for residences (since the world and his wife have emailed them going "Why have I not heard anything?"); and then admissions has the fun of the "just missed" and the insurance people - if my friend is anything to go by, they'll have had phonecalls from the same person every 15 minutes going "I know I missed it by one grade, but can I please be in your uni? "

Yep, this morning got a congrats letter and an undergraduates guide to school of psychology (my course) complete with reading list and enrolement dates.
I think I'm going to visit Cardiff a couple of weeks before I move, just to get my bearings before I'm actually there!
Oh, and I'm in house 17 in Talybont South, seems pretty far away from you guys in houses 1 and 2!
I'm in house 17 too, ground floor, flat 1 If you go on the Talybont South facebook group there seems to be alot of people in the house so far. And the good news is that house 17 is right next to the laundrette and shop!

Don't forget about the £120 drawing board that we apparently have to buy from them...

So did I! Do we have to read the stuff on there before we arrive or is it just a guide for the year or...?
