Im an RPA student and am yet to recieve my accomodation confirmation, which is scaring me beyond thought now!! Hope I get it by tomorrow, Coz I hope to fly out of here the 17th!!
I'm bringing an extra long ethernet cable to see if that works too
and what are you all doing with televisions? I'm bringing one, but I don't really want to be the only one =/ Going to contact the tv-license people as they state they need a written letter if you're going to just use a TV for games/dvds

I wouldn't bother sending a letter, just ignore their post because you're not breaking any laws although if they keep nagging you it might be worth it. I'm not bringing a television, I don't have my own one anyway.

They can state whatever they want. Fact of the matter is that you certainly dont need to contact them. Infact by doing so you just provide them with your name at the address and so they can direct their harrasing spam mail to you more easily.

Will they have TV ariels in halls? or will i have to try and get tv though some form of make-shift coat hanger?
Nah you're in the reduced room 6, I'm afraid it's coat hangers for you :P
Just kidding, I actually don't have a clue. I don't think I'll bother with bringing a TV, I watch it for about half an hour once a week at my friend's if I'm lucky. Not exactly worth the £130 TV licence in my opinion. If I'm bored I have the internet or I'll draw or read or something...
My friend has Sky TV in his halls across the road from me anyway so I'll just go and leech off him if I'm desperate.

Found - One Trolley, Tesco variety. It is situated in our corridor, and we don't know why. We didn't even go near Tesco last night...oh my. Now, whenever people move in, they think the three of us here last night are total inebriates.
