Do people know how they are about visitors stopping over? I know some unis have limits and whatever, and I need to know about whether I'm going to have issues with my bf.

I think they're fairly relaxed, I know my friend in Wales has friends at Cardiff Uni (Talybont ... can't remember which) and he's stayed over there a few times.

Hey guys, could anyone tell how many weeks are accommodation contracts made for? And do they allow you to stay in during Christmas and Easter?
Some clarification would be much appreciated
I think you are, I know international students usually have to stay there...
If you can't I'm screwed as (I'm not an international student) but I'm only living here temporarily and can't come back after Uni starts >.< I think the room is yours for the entire year though.
Not sure when the 'year' ends, sometime in May/June I think but not sure.

Dunno about the exact number of weeks, but I'm almost certain that the accomodation contracts do include Christmas and Easter; they're hardly going to rent them out as holiday homes!

Thank you , moving in and out doesn't seem like the most convenient option if i get in...

I've been told that you can stay there for the whole year and that you only vacate for the summer holidays... which is good, because I couldn't think of having to re-pack and store everything for all the holidays!
i know it says we can move in on the 17th of sept or something but thats a random day like a thursday or wednesday, not sure. and Freshers doesn't start until the monday, who will actually be moving in on the 17th?
I live just down the road, and even I'll be moving in that day. Besides, I'm pretty sure you have to register for your course and your ID card etc. pronto.
Assuming I get in, I'll be moving in on the first possible day - don't want flatmates etc to have met and made friends with each other before I turn up etc...

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm going to try ASAP to move in because where I live is boring as hell. It's gonna be so difficult because I live about 130 miles away :/
