So I’m really finding GCSE Maths difficult. We’ve just had a succession of bad teachers and considering the new specification, I’m crazily burdened by stress. Have the resources to help myself and if I spent hours and hours on it I could probably understand a bit more... but excelling in sciences feels like it matters a bit more at the moment.
In top set but only just scraping a 6 (equivalent to the old B). Feel really disheartened and lacking in motivation to do anything about it because I feel that snowed under Will 6 suffice? Do all/any med schools care about the exact grade of a Maths GCSE?
NB: I can interpret graphs and do mental arithmetic and standard algebra absolutely fine, I fall down when it comes to complex shapes and vectors etc. Any advice appreciated from those who know! And any comfort too would be gladly welcomed...
