I'm really anxious about going to an open day, I'm planning to go to the next one at Plymouths Art College which is a few months away and I'm really scared about getting lost and stuff. Can anyone tell me about their experiences? Is it easy to navigate the college?

Thanks ❤
I haven't been there but at the open days I went to for the universities I applied to it was impossible to get lost. There were student guides everywhere on campus, there were signs and banners everywhere telling you where to go and a lot of universities send guides to the local train stations to direct people where to go (which usually includes shuttle buses to the universities if it isn't immediate walking distance).
Like Glassapple said, there are Student Ambassadors and signs all over the campus to guide you around and ensure you won’t get lost. PCA is opposite Drake Circus, so following signs for there will get you here easily, and even if you were to lose your way, you will be able to ask someone to direct you to Drakes.
When I was going to open days, I checked and planned my route from the station to the uni to avoid me getting lost, and used Google Maps to check that I was on track; I would definitely recommend doing the same.
As you enter the reception, Student Ambassadors will greet you at the welcome desk and hand you a tote bag full of useful info and goodies. Inside is a day planner which has room-by-room, floor-by-floor plans of the main buildings that should help you be able to easily navigate the campus if you wish to explore alone. However, if you’d rather be shown where something is, you can either go on one of our hourly campus tours or ask a Student Ambassador to show you the way - you’ll be able to tell who we are as we all have black t-shirts on with the PCA logo and STAFF written across the back - any of us are always happy to help you!
I hope this helps you feel a little more comfortable about visiting us on June 16th!
See you soon, Harriet First Year Photography Student and Student Ambassador
