Edexcel Economics Paper 1 - 14 May 2018 [Exam discussion]

I don't think there's an official thread for just Edexcel AS level Economics so i had to create one :smile:

As many of you know the Edexcel Econ A paper 1 is on the 14th May. Around about a month till then.

1) Theme 1 (Introduction to Markets and Market Failure)
2) Theme 2 (UK Economy)

How is everyone revising for them ?
What sort of revision techniques are people using ?

Structure for Paper:
Section A (Multiple choice questions and short answer questions) 20marks
Section B
- 5 marker
- 10 marker
- 6 marker
- 4 marker
-15 marker
- Extended essay 20 marker !!

My school don't do AS Exams, due to the reformed A levels, but i'm using flashcards with previous exam questions from the old specification to revise, and just going over my notes on mostly theme 2, as i find theme 1 much easier and general knowledge (except government intervention/failure). I also make mind maps on my best topics from memory to keep the idea fresh in mind. I've done past papers but there is only the specimen & 2016 /(i got 2017 for my mock last year), so not that confident about it.

yeahh unfortunately my school are doing them. i like the idea of putting past paper questions on flashcards. Thank you tho appreciate it !!

I decided to make one seeing that there is no thread yet.. How is everyone feeling and what are your predictions?
The ideal 25 marker would be intervention to deal with externalities but I don't know how likely that is to come up because it has the last 2 years.

everything was good except context 2 25 marker
what did people do for the diagram and data analysis q for context 2?
Not sure on some of the questions, would like some discussions on the questions and how you guys answered them.
