Harrow Hall

I've started to look for accommodation recently, and I would love to know what people think of Harrow Halls. What the rooms are like, how the social scene is, etc.

I will be graduating from the University of Westminster this year and I lived in Harrow Halls for the first two years. I think Harrow Halls is a great choice to make because it gives you flexibility. The campus and halls are open 24/7: you can study late in the library or party at the Undercroft, a bar actually on campus, and go home in the middle of the night without worrying about transport or safety. Northwick Park tube station is literary a stone's throw away from campus reception. There are different types of rooms available but the standard en-suite rooms are cosy, of a good size, with a big wardrobe and a really spacious desk and a good-sized bathroom. The kitchens are big, great for parties, cleaned on a weekly basis and have lots of storage space. There is also a laundry room on-site and 24/7 security.I think it is hard to beat Harrow Halls in terms of opportunities for fun, socialising and convenience. Harrow campus is obviously the creative one, so there is always something going on. The spacious kitchens, the large common room, the sports facilities and closeness to central London (20 mins on the Metropolitan line to Baker Street) and Harrow on the Hill town centre (10 mins on the Metropolitan line) provide for a really infinite variety of entertainment and a vibrant social scene. Most importantly, however, you will live with and meet many young creatives, studying anything from fashion and animation to journalism and PR, which is always useful networking. Hope I helped.

I have just left Harrow halls a term early because i hated it so much, would definitely recommend raffles house.. I had friends there and its so much better!! Found staff at Harrow to be quite rude, someone literally walked into my friends room while she was showering because she didn't answer the door but then he admitted to hearing the shower!! Security would literally find excuses not to do their job and one night we had a situation in our flat and 3 of us called security 5 or 6 times over a 3 hour period and no-one answered the phone. Same in another flat who ended up calling the police over a drug issue because the halls security did nothing.

Thanks for your help! Was wondering, does every accommodation option at Harrow Hall belong to a flat? In the sense, would the bigger rooms also be part of a six person flat, or would they be standalone

Hello again. Glad I could be of assistance. The standard single en-suite rooms are all situated in flats, occupied by six people. There are other accommodation options, double studios, large and extra large en-suite rooms, about which I unfortunately do not know much. I sugest you email the accommodation team. I know that Harrow Halls has a separate building on campus, which, I believe, hosts the double studios. I am not too sure though.
