i do the OCR board and i struggle especially with Measure for Measure and Streetcar named Desire

Im not sure how to revise for these since the questions for these are not straightforward like on a theme eg.

‘A Streetcar Named Desire shows how dangerous illusions can be.’
How far and in what ways do you agree with this view?

how do i revise for these and how do i answer the questions like these

thanks

It’s still a theme, and the illusions in Streetcar are a prominent one. This is because it is centred around two main characters, Stanley and Blanche. She uses illusions as a crux and this juxtaposes Stanley’s realistic view on life.

You would revise for Streetcar just how you would revise for any other text. The only part that is ‘different’ is it is asking to you to interpret what you have seen, rather than just regurgitate study notes. I think a lot of the questions ask you to do this, although it’s been a while since I’ve looked. All you do is take your theme and use some analysis as to why you think it is either dangerous to live like Blanche or not. 😊
