Letting your bf see you without make-up...

This is a thread directed mainly at girls who wear make-up on a daily basis. I know it sounds like a really shallow topic but I can't imagine it not being an issue for certain girls. Basically, how do/did you feel about letting your boyfriend see you without make-up for the first time? Did you feel like he was judging you? Did you talk about it at all?

Men are also welcome to post here, esp. if you've ever been with a girl who felt self-conscious about letting you see her without make-up.

my "favourite" boyfriend ie the one i cared about most saw me not fully made up like 5 days after asking me out because he was early for our day together :P i was like still partially made up from last night but y'know :P
after that he saw me without make up about 5 months after that i think... might have been longer. i think it was longer.
When I first met my boyfriend I never used to wear make up at all. I couldn't be bothered with it and didn't feel the need to wear it.
After we broke up I started to wear it - think it make me feel pretty again...I dunno - and now we're back together I can't seem to take it off. Even if we're just going to be lazing around the house I have to wear it.
He keeps telling me I don't need it but my head keeps telling me otherwise.

Might brave it again one day. Lol.
I like seeing my girlfriend without makeup, its really cute

My boyfriends seen me loads of times without make up even before we lived together. To me i dont think its an issue as i dont need makeup just to go out of the house for example to shops.

i wear it if i can be bothered! and to be honest i dont think he cares if i do or not???? i dunno do you chester? when i do wear it i dont wear very much anyway!
Wtf? My boyfriend hardly ever sees me WITH makeup. Why would it be an issue? He likes me, not my makeup.

my gf is really self-conscious about her makeup, will not leave the house without it. But I've seen her without it countless times, she looks cute.

With my first serious boyfriend it took a while - I would wear make up to sleep, and then when I woke up I would go and reapply over it! Terrible! But that was when I had really bad skin. Once my skin cleared up, I stopped bothering!

My boyfriend saw me countless times without make up on before we started going out. I used to wear it all the time, but now as i've gotten older I really can not be bothered, i'll wear make up when I feel like it. I don't think my boyfriend cares if I don't wear it, or at least he's not said anything to me.
Most girls I know look much better without tons of make up on.

i look repulsive without it and think i would scare any male away if he saw my un-made face:-)
i am very self-concious and a bit ridiculous so although I understand that it is very stupid, it's very difficult for me to be around a boy without it on...
oh dear.

:dito: thats my view too. I dont really wear make up unless im going out for an evening or somewhere nice.

From what ive seen/heard so far most guys prefer their girls without make up on.
The only times my boyfriend ever used to see me WITH makeup was when we were going out for a special occassion of some sort(party, dinner etc). He said he didnt see the point in me putting it on at all but I liked to so he stopped complaining about the few times i did wear it.
There's nothing sexier than un-made-up bed hair, and wearing one of my shirts in the morning.

I think the only times my ex saw me without makeup was when we went swimming and i was afraid of it running and looking even worse... but then I'm ginger and without a fair amount of mascara my eyes look bald and its just not a good look!

I was worried about letting my boyfriend see me without make-up at first because I'm really self concious, but then when he did see me he just said I looked beautiful and everything was fine  I don't care anymore now!
