Letting your bf see you without make-up...

Took me about two, or three weeks. We were painting my room in old sweatshirts and shorts, messy but fun

Uh, I've never been that bothered about guys seeing me without makeup. I have pretty good skin (although it's freckly!) so I don't really wear a lot anyway, just some tinted moisturiser and mascara really. I look nicer with a bit of makeup but if a guy's staying over I'm still going to remove it before I go to bed! So generally a boyfriend would see my 'natural' look as soon as we started spending nights together [but seriously, if you trust a guy enough to be having sex with him then surely letting him see your face without makeup isn't an issue - or maybe I'm just more insecure about my body than my face]. I think genuinely a lot of guys don't even notice/care or actually prefer girls without makeup, especially if you wear a lot of it.

i went out with a girl who would never let me see her without make up on. when i finially did see her without found her far more attractive with none :s-smilie:

To be fair, most guys prefer girls with little or no makeup. I think the mistake many people make is that they use makeup to hide behind, rather than to accentuate...
I was shocked out of my senses when, on D of E, a lot of girls brought makeup with them...:s-smilie:

I used to be really bothered about people seeing me without any makeup on, particularly guys, but now I don't care. If he's into you he'll like you with or without your makeup on. A lot of guys prefer the natural look, I've found anyway.

I hardly ever wear makeup in front of my boyfriend and he doesn't care. When I do put makeup on he says he knows it's for a special reason then! I can't be arsed applying and then removing a load of makeup eac day, I wear it if I can be bothered!

Also, when your bf stays over, or you stay with them, don't you lot take your makeup off before bed? :s-smilie: So he'd see you sans makeup then, surely?

This is a thread directed mainly at girls who wear make-up on a daily basis. I know it sounds like a really shallow topic but I can't imagine it not being an issue for certain girls. Basically, how do/did you feel about letting your boyfriend see you without make-up for the first time? Did you feel like he was judging you? Did you talk about it at all?

Men are also welcome to post here, esp. if you've ever been with a girl who felt self-conscious about letting you see her without make-up.

I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, mainly due for it not being great for your skin & also because I can't be bothered  . At the very beginning of the relationship (i.e. when we were going on dates), I'd wear makeup, but pretty early on into the relationship he saw me without makeup (i.e. before bed/when I first woke up). For the last 2 years or so, he sees me most of the time without makeup & he says he prefers it this way as I look more natural. So yeah, thats my thoughts!

I let my bf see me without makeup/with smudged makeup virtually the next day after we got together lol!

I look like an absolute demon in the morning so i'm not too caring about my bf seeing me looking 'natural' xP

I almost never wear make up - it's slightly annoying that whenever I do bother, he'll pipe up about it! I feel like a clown/baby with mum's make up stash when I wear it so people pointing it out makes me even less inclined to do it!

Girls: you invariably look better, and far more attractive when you don't have plaster and dyes on your face. This goes back to another point I made a while back about what size you are - we don't care as long as you look natural :p:

I almost insist that my girlfriend doesn't go heavy with the makeup, if at all. She doesn't need it, and only spoils the view of what I actually want to see of her  I'd imagine that's true of a lot of girls. To be honest, if your boyfriend only wants to see you with make up on - you have a problem.

I wear little make up. I think even if you don't have clear skin lots of make up can make it look worse. My boyfriend saw me without make up straight away.

Try puking up into his bin in your pants and then him carrying you to his car to take you to a hospital cos your having a panic attack, now thats letting it go a bit, lol.

My boyfriends one of my best friends, why should I have to look perfect for him? And why does he care? I don't and he doesn't.

i went on holiday with my boyfriend so he saw me without make up on every day, wet hair, freckles the whole shabang! some girls worst nightmare! but i know my boyfriend loves me for me not for how much makeup i have on my face, he tells me countless times that he prefers me without it =]

isn't the idea of this thread for people who normally do wear makeup?
about half of these posts are people just saying they rarely wear makeup. :s-smilie:

my sister has been wearing makeup since she was about 14, and only recently has she been able to let her boyfriend see her anything but perfect. (this is after about 8 years with her boyfriend)
until now she used to get up an hour before him and go to bed an hour after him so he never had to see her without makeup. but apparently since she gave that up their sex life has drastically improved :p:

I've had a girlfriend who always wore makeup and it used to really annoy me. can't say exactly why but every time I looked at her I just saw all this makeup and got really pissed off. maybe it was just her

I also know a guy who won't let his girlfriend wear more makeup than clear mascara.

Thats very creepy.

I don't wear makeup much so I guess this thread doesnt much apply to me. My other half makes the obligatory appreciative noises when I wear it but Im not sure if that means he likes it or that he feels since I have made the effort he should say he likes it.
