Popular places around the university

Hi!

I'm trying to learn about what the popluar student places are around the university. these could be food places, places where people hang out, popular shops etc.

I would love to get some suggestions from you all.

Most first years live in oadby, so the local spoons is popular and everyone pretty much does their shopping at the Asda. In second year and around campus, people will I’ve in Clarendon Park, or Evington for the most part. There’s the highcross shopping centre for the shops. The dry dock is a local pub which is very popular for society events, it’s inside a docked boat but unfortunately is being knocked down at some point fairly soon in the future. In terms of nights out, the O2 on campus has three Different student nights a week (monsters Monday’s, lets disco on a Wednesday and shabang on a Friday (think I got that right)) and there’s a few other clubs in the city people go to.
