I was just looking for some confimation regarding the travel grant when studying abroad. As I understand it, you pay the first £303 of your travel and insurance, is this £303 per thing so the first £303 of insurance and then the first £303 of each flight or is it the first £303 of the total spending for the year? I hope that makes sense!

Hi KMLeeson,
The first £303.00 of travel costs per academic year is to be met by student.
You will be pleased to know that any costs above the first £303.00 will be reimbursed pound for pound (depending on the household income threshold)
The cost of mandatory visa, medical tests and medical insurance are not subject to the £303 disregard, but may be subject to deduction based on household income.
Thanks Rona
