Meiosis

Can some one explain to me the difference between a haploid and a diploid cell ? I’m quite confused :/

Also homologous chromosomes ??
I can’t seem to get my head around it
Haploid cells have one set of chromosomes - 23 (remember - half)
Diploid cells have 2 sets of chromosomes - 23 Pairs

Mitosis leads to the production of 2 diploid cells.
Haploid cells are the product of Meiosis (eg. Gametes)
Homologous chromosomes are pairs of identical chromosomes - one from the father and one from the mother.
