Non-rowdy/noisy halls at Nottingham?

Hi,
I'm currently a 1st year at another uni and have reapplied for another subject and have an offer for Nottingham.
I've had my fair share of rowdy housemates this term, and everything appeals to me about starting 1st year again apart from hyperactive freshers! Not wanting to sound like a killjoy or anything... - which are the quieter halls of Nottingham and which ones are the more noisy ones? I don't think I can go through being kept up till 4/5 am because of partying housemates again!
Thanks

the people make the hall. if you've got considerate people on your floor then you'll be fine. if you've got stupid people on your floor, you'll get upset.there isn't a hall that's quiet/noisy. if you find when you get there that they're too noisy, have a word with them, if they still don't listen have a look around and suss out which blocks/halls are better from your friends experiences and ask to move there.

Basically my hall is relatively quiet from around 11.30 - 12.00 onwards as a result of some overactive tutors! I mean, people are just literally talking in a room with their door open at 1.00 in the morning, and they'll be round telling you to be quiet! But as La Trampa says, the people make the hall, and our tutors could be different next year, so...

I think that if you keep yourself to yourself then people will tend to leave you be.

Ancaster is pretty quiet. Just stay away from A Block and B Block and you'll be fine!

Broadgate Park is not anti-social. There's stuff happening there all the time. It all depends on the person - whether they put in the effort to get to know people in their block or just stay in their room all day long. So this applies to every single hall. Have you been to BGP may I ask?

i dnt think it depends on the person with bgp...im a really open person, i find making new mates really easy...but the fact that bgp is all seperate blocks makes it hard to meet people. you wouldnt believe theres over 2000 people there unless someone told you.
its true that theres always stuff happening there..but its organised stuff by those creepy karni reps.

In that case I think you were unlucky with the people you were put with in your flat. I quite like my block - pretty chuffed that I got put in a newer block and I get along / know the majority of people in it.
How far is the cripps hall from the Economics department and hallward department?

5-10 minute walk to both I reckon... Economics department and Hallward Library are very close to each other.
Cheers.
more like a 1 minute walk to economics and a 3 minute walk to the library!
