Ratio Question, Need Help!

Ratio of number of sheep to chickens on a farm is 3:5
In spring, 6 sheep are born. New ratio of sheep to chickens is 9:10
How many chickens are there?

3:5 = 3x:5x (where x is each share in the ratio.

So adding 6 to the sheep side of the ratio:

To find the number of chickens, substitute x into 5x.
