I want to do my History coursework on an aspect relating to chemistry, any ideas?

So you need to do some research on Chemistry in historical terms. Look at discoveries or issues in the past and how they were deal with? Did the people act correctly, did it live up to its expectations, does history judge the actions of the people concerned any differently or is it justified and sound? I dont know what it would be in Chemists terms. Theres a new film on Marie Curie being made., there was a series on Germany's nuclear program in WW2 (Physics). Just look up a Chemists timeline and see which areas you can re-examine with fresh eyes.
