GCSE Maths, help?

Hi, I'm predicted a grade one in GCSE maths and realistically I will probably fail my mock exam. I want to get at least a 4 or 5 when I'm in year 11 so that I can go to a college in town (I live in a pretty small place) and ultimately, get out of here when I'm an adult and never look back. People who are good at maths, what are your tips for revising successfully and performing well on tests? Thanks.
Complete lots of past papers and revise where you went wrong

I'm in a similar situation but here goes:

Learn the formula and methods of doing each type of question.

See the application in every day, ie Pythagoras in circles, rectangles in windows, geometry in garden design, ratio in cooking recipes for larger/smaller groups etc.

Good luck to you, I sit my exam this year and it's still totally over my head with just a few weeks to go.

PS Never give up on your dream, you'll get there.

Ask your teacher for help if you haven't already. Get the basics (including avoiding needless mistakes) nailed down first.
