Hi guys,

I’m doing a level English language (aqa). My course work is 20% of my overall grade but it’s a level 3 which I assume is a C - I was wondering how this will affect my overall grades so what would be the maximum grade I can get.

Sorry editing as I realised it is A level

You can still get an A if you did exceptionally well, but you would also need to go beyond an A grade to make up the ground lost Because it is 80%, then that means the exam portion is 4x as important as the coursework. All grades are still available, although the higher ones will be more difficult to obtain .

Here are last years grade boundaries, although take them with a pinch of salt as this years will not have been decided and they can change.

This is for linear syllabus.

This is if you were doing the modular AS and A2 non linear syllabus.

I just looked it up and coursework is graded 0-5.

You should do some past papers and look at the mark schemes so you can see where your technique is failing to get you the higher marks.
