EU Copyright Law

I'm not sure if this question violates the rules of this forum and I apologize if it is, but I am borderline desperate right now...

I am an undergraduate software engineering student but I have a module called IT Legislation which has an assignment I have some trouble completing.

As the title says, it is regarding copyright law in the EU.

Basically I have to find the EU laws pertaining to the following questions:

What are the laws to secure information on the internet?

What are the EU laws to enforce the copyright


This is not the entire assignment but if I can find laws relating to the above question I can complete the assignment on my own.
